On the first floor, the digital exhibition presents around 1000 exhibits in a permanent display collection in rooms arranged like a kalaidoscope on the natural and cultural history of both the Enns Valley and the Ausseerland.
In its goals and visions, Schloss Trautenfels sees itself as a multi-layered art and culture location with international appeal that contributes to strengthening the regional idea in a homeland with a future. The further development of the location could take place in pilot projects with a European exemplary character in order to further position itself with its distinctive brand and authentic concept as a "centre outside the centre" to strengthen the rural area.
During a visit on site, the exciting special exhibitions on the second floor of the castle, which change every year, also invite visitors to inform themselves and linger.
