The Landscape Gate was donated to the Carinthian landscape by Governor Georg von Khevenhüller. The gate is built over a rocky gorge.
The drawbridge is placed inside the gate with the aim that invading enemies would have faced a precipice. The coat of arms of Carinthia can be seen on the gate.
