Winter sports museum Haus im Ennstal
A journey through time to the beginnings of winter sports

Winter in transition - a digital journey through snow, sport and history
Experience virtually how winter became a sport
Experience the history of travelling in the snow in three themed areas: From survival in winter to modern winter sports, the exhibition impressively shows how man and technology have adapted to the snow.

1. living and working in the snow
Early forms of snow transport, such as snow tyres and tatz sledges, illustrate the everyday life of hunters and woodworkers in the high mountains.
2. leisure and competition
Winter as a playing field: from tobogganing to ice shooting, rural winter fun and the first competitions are brought to life.
3. upswing in skiing and tourism
Skiing began with the "single-pole technique", followed by the emergence of winter tourism around the Hauser Kaibling - from pioneers like Friedrich Kabusch to the first school ski courses.
