When summer is over and gives way to winter, Grafenegg becomes contemplative - although by no means quiet. The Grafenegg Advent attracts guests to a programme for young and old, from the Christmas market to llama hikes and communal biscuit baking.
Grafenegg Advent
Freitag, 5. Dezember bis Montag, 8. Dezember 2025

A whole year full of musical enjoyment
Grafenegg Castle is nestled between the Wachau and Vienna.
It is the venue for nationally and internationally renowned concert series throughout the year. These include the Jahreszeitenklänge, a cycle of orchestral concerts throughout the year, with festive concerts at Christmas, New Year's Eve and Easter.

There is the Summer Sounds series, where the programme ranges from great symphonic works to swing, jazz and operetta.
And of course there is the Grafenegg Festival, where the stars gather every summer to offer a culture-hungry audience a comprehensive concert programme.
Shared passion & solidarity
In addition to the supporting programme, the focus is primarily on the music. Rudolf Buchbinder has been the artistic director of Grafenegg since 2007. He is one of the great piano performers of our time and has developed into an authority in his 60-year career.
His recording of Beethoven's piano concertos stands for itself and with his many years of experience and musical skills, he makes Grafenegg what it is: a stronghold of the classical music scene and a meeting place for culture lovers from near and far.
