"ZEITROAS" the local history museum in Ramsau am Dachstein

The "ZEITROAS" museum is the new Ramsau museum project for locals and guests, consisting of a central museum in the old Pehabstall in Ramsau-Ort.

The contents conveyed are intended to have a lasting effect, to encourage enquiry and investigation, to point to many points in nature, to cultural and sporting facilities, and to the interesting buildings and museums in Ramsau.

The main topics are the tourist development of the place, the unique emergence and preservation of the Protestant faith in the Catholic Habsburg Empire, i.e. the time of the Reformation, Counter-Reformation and Secret Protestantism, and of course the topic of the Dachstein.

The theme of hunting and its history is given wide space through a special permanent exhibition. Temporary special exhibitions from various social fields complete the visitor experience.

These temporary exhibitions present current regional developments or tell of current events.
Since January 2025, the special exhibition
"Die wahren und die Filmbergretter" in the ZEITROAS.
(This is a documentary about the ZDF television series "Die Bergretter", which has been extremely successful since 2009)
