The Strick Local History Collection
The family-run, private collection offers an insight into the history of Bad Mitterndorf.
The exhibition ranges from a collection of old fossils, Roman and Celtic finds, cave bear bones, a collection of dolls and finally to the exhibition of the figures from the famous St. Nicholas game in Bad Mitterndorf.
The collection
Franz Strick the First began collecting stones and minerals about 100 years ago.
Franz Strick the Second (born 1902) continued his father's collecting activities and contributed to the expansion of the collection.
Franz Strick the Third (born 1943), who was born into collecting, converted the house into a private collection in 1958.
Thus, a large number of the objects could be better presented.
