Kunstforum Wien - a pioneer in art education<\/h3>\n

Permanently closed.<\/em><\/p>\n

For over three decades, the Kunstforum Wien was a fixture on the international exhibition scene. <\/p>\n

With highly acclaimed first presentations, new approaches to important artists and innovative ways of communicating art, the museum has repeatedly set new standards. <\/p>\n

Even though the doors of the Kunstforum Wien are permanently closed, its spirit lives on: numerous artists who have exhibited here are digitally present in the cultural network Discover Culture. <\/p>\n

In this way, the valuable work that Kunstforum Wien has done for art and culture remains tangible - and how much it has shaped the view of art in Austria. The legacy of Kunstforum Wien is therefore not a thing of the past, but a living part of the digital cultural space.<\/p>\n

Vienna Art Forum<\/h3>\n

The Kunstforum Wien was the flagship of UniCredit Bank Austria's cultural commitment and the most successful privately run exhibition centre in Austria with a strong focus on service. <\/p>\n

Under the direction of Ingried Brugger, the museum maintained close relationships with renowned institutions such as Tate Modern (London, UK), Royal Academy (London UK), Guggenheim Museum (New York City, USA), State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg, Russia), Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Kunsthaus Z\u00fcrich (Zurich, Switzerland) or Fondation Beyeler (Basel, Switzerland) and realised multinational exhibitions. <\/p>\n

The focus was on classical modernism and the avant-garde as well as women artists of the post-war period.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n
